The Basics of Roulete
Before you can begin playing, it’s important to understand how the game works. Start by learning about the different types of bets. Inside bets place your chips on specific numbers, while outside bets cover a group of numbers. Outside bets are typically cheaper and offer a higher chance of winning.
Bets
A player can place a variety of different bets on the roulette table. Typically, the most risky wagers are on the outside bets (Dozens and Columns). These bets pay out 2-1 if you guess correctly. The next most risky bet is the Split Bet, which pays 17-1 if you correctly predict two numbers. To make this bet, you’ll need to put your chips in the outside border of the grid, straddling the line between two rows.
Payouts
The payouts available on roullete vary depending on the type of bet you make. For example, a split bet (or cheval in French) is a wager where you place your chip(s) to straddle the line between two numbers on the layout. If either number wins, the payout is 17-1. Similarly, a street bet covers a single row of three consecutive numbers and offers a higher payout of 11-1. Outside bets, on the other hand, are more conservative plays and have a lower payout if they win.
